The class of '76 is proud to announce that the 2011 recipients of the Upper Arlington Alumni Association's Outstanding Alumnus and Distinguished Alumnus Awards were both members of our class.
The UAAA DISTINGUISHED ALUMNUS AWARD is given to an alum in recognition of his or her personal, education and/or career achievement.

This year's 2011 Distinguished Alumnus Award was given to Dan Minutilli from the Class of 1976. Among other philanthropic activities, Dan started the Keith Krieger Fund of the Upper Arlington Education Foundation in memory of his classmate and friend, also from the Class of 1976. Monies from the Keith Krieger Fund are awarded annually as a scholarship to a student who will continue in the performin arts in higher education. Dan is also involved with ten other scholarships and six designated funds with various purposes.
The UAAA OUTSTANDING ALUMNUS AWARD is given to an alum who has generously dedicated his or her time to the service of the Upper Arlington Alumni Association and its mission.

The 2011 Outstanding Alumnus Award was presented posthumously to Suzie Matthews, a member of the UAHS Class of 1976 and a longtime General Music teacher at Jones Middle School, as well as the Department Chair of the Music Department. While at Jones she was the Director of both the Fall Production and the annual Talent Show, shows that over the years involved thousands of students.
